The Best Beauty Products That You’re (Probably) Not Using

Every once in a while, I discover a new brand or product that is worth writing about.  I have mentioned a couple of these items in the past but have never compiled an actual list of the products that I absolutely swear by.  I have one rule when it comes to something expensive: If you’re going to use it and it improves you FOR you, buy it.  Below is a list I have compiled of the products that I swear by.  In no way does this post reflect anything YOU should buy (you know yourself better than anyone) but it’s a few products to look out for just in case you ever want to try something new.

Juara Sweet Black Tea & Rice Facial Moisturizer: This moisturizer has saved my skin.  It’s so light and airy that you don’t even notice that you’re wearing it.  And it smells great, too!

Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie: This conditioner (of sorts) is the only conditioner that makes my extra-thick hair nice and soft and manageable.

MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil: This eyeliner is the only liner that stays on my waterline all day and all night without smudging and giving me the dreaded “raccoon eyes”.

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Mascara: There was another brand of mascara that I used to swear by until I discovered this mascara.  It does indeed make your lashes appear longer and thicker and it doesn’t budge no matter what you do to it.

Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick: The only lipstick I have ever used that didn’t leave my lips within 2 hours.

Nars Blush In Orgasm: This is a staple in most makeup bags.  This is the perfect shade for ANY skin tone.

Shiseido Eyelash Curler: This eyelash curler is relatively simple to use and guarantees that your lashes will have the perfect curl throughout the day.,default,pd.html

LUSH Lip Scrub In Sweet Lips: I constantly have dry lips due to the fact that I am dehydrated no matter how much water I drink.  I throw this stuff on every morning, scrub off the dead skin (lovely, right?), and voila my lips are smooth.,en_US,sc.html

Alberto VO5 Shampoo: Yes, believe it or not I do use shampoo from the Dollar Tree.  It cleans, it hydrates, and it doesn’t strip my hair color.

Amepha’s Organic Oatmeal Milk & Honey Sugar Scrub Scoops: Definitely a product that deserves a lot more recommendations than it is currently receiving.  Use these babies on the shower and your skin will thank you.

Urban Decay Urban Defense Tinted Moisturizer: The perfect facial makeup during those hot summer months.  This moisturizer doesn’t budge no matter how much I sweat.,default,pd.html

Fekkai Essential Shea Shampoo: This shampoo is literally infused with shea butter.  You can only imagine how soft your hair feels just after rinsing it.,default,pd.html?start=5&cgid=shampoos

MAC Eyeshadow In Brun: I fill in my eyebrows  Therefore I need a product that will stay in place through the elements.  MAC eyeshadow does the trick and brun is a universal color that tons of makeup junkies swear by.

Stila Cosmetics Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner: Not only do these eyeliners come in some funky, awesome colors they also stay all day long.

Paul Mitchell Extra Body Thicken Up Styling Liquid: I swear by this, hands down.  It is the only product that I have ever used that actually made my hair thicker.  I had no clue this was even possible.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish: I discovered this stuff YEARS ago.  I now wear it every day.  There are two things I hate leaving the house without: my eyebrows filled in and my cheeks having some sort of shimmer appear.  Buy it, wear it, love it.

Sonia Kashuk Makeup Brushes: I have a basic motto when it comes to makeup applications: Your makeup is only as good as the brushes that you use to apply it.  I do like to splurge from time to time on MAC brushes, however, Sonia K. (sold at Target!) makes amazing brushes for half the cost.

Michael Todd Balancing Gel Cream: Back in the day, I had a bit of a pizza face.  At the time, I went to a dermatologist and they fixed me up, but over the years the co-pays became rather expensive and I needed to find something cheaper.  Thanks to a sample site, I discovered the Michael Todd line and I haven’t looked back since.  This balancing gel cream makes my skin happy.  I apply it every night after washing my face.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion: Get this, this product contains salicylic acid mixed with calamine lotion.  Together they form the perfect zit clearer.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment: I use this ointment for nearly everything.  I originally bought it when my tattoo artist recommended it for the tattoo healing process and later I moved onto using it for any part of my skin that was dry.  I put it on every day after scrubbing my lips and I also rub it into my ankles after every shower.

Hopefully I didn’t bore you all too much!
